Chat Well Speech Pathology is registered with Medicare, private health care funds and provide services to ‘self-managed’ or ‘plan-managed’ National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) clients. You do not need a referral from your doctor to see our Speech Pathologists, however with certain plans from your doctor you may be able to receive a Medicare rebate.  You can self-refer by simply contacting us to make an appointment!

Initial Phone Consultation (10 minutes) - No Charge

We understand that looking for a Speech Pathologist can be a confusing process to face alone, so we're happy to help you along the way. Contact us to speak to our friendly Speech Pathologists to assess and address your concerns. We will help you to determine whether your child is ready to begin therapy!



Assessments include a combination of standardised formal assessments and informal assessment tools. Our assessment costs vary upon the concern and assessment requirements of the child. 

Assessment sessions are charged per hour

Assessment reports are charged at $193.99 per hour taken to write the report

Our Fees are reviewed annually and subject to change without notice. Our NDIS Fees are in line National Disability Insurance Scheme Price Guide 2021-2022. You can view information about these prices on the NDIS website.


Funding Services & Rebates


A Chronic Disease Management  (CDM) Plan is a GP managed plan that provides a Medicare rebate for allied health services. A CDM Plan provides a maximum of 5 total rebates per calendar year.

A Helping Children With Autism (HCWA) Plan is  provided by a paediatrician, and provides up to 20 rebates for children under the age of 13. Please check with your child's paediatrician to determine eligibility.


The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) is a Federal Government funding scheme to assist individuals diagnosed with a disability or chronic health condition. At Chat Well Speech Pathology, we assist 'Plan Managed' and 'Self Managed'  NDIS clients.


Private Speech Pathology is covered under many health fund "Extras" policies. Please check with your private health insurer to find out if your policy includes cover for Speech Pathology services and entitles you to a rebate.
